Coimbatore : Inaugurating the first edition of the Women’s Summit of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) at Hotel Taj by Vivanta today, District Collector K. Rajamani said that such conferences were need of the hour considering the rising number of women entrepreneurs.
Coimbatore : Inaugurating the first edition of the Women’s Summit of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) at Hotel Taj by Vivanta today, District Collector K. Rajamani said that such conferences were need of the hour considering the rising number of women entrepreneurs.
Talking at the event, Rajamani said that it was fitting that the conference was being held in Coimbatore, a place which he believed had good potential for entrepreneurship.
“Even ministers who had visited Trichy while I was the Collector there had spoke about the eagerness and quickness of Coimbatore entrepreneurs, who are quick to react to projects and schemes of the Government,” he said.
He further added that Coimbatore District Administration would help full support for the ventures towards entrepreneurship development in Coimbatore.
“Make sure that young minds are connected well with successful women entrepreneurs show that they can follow their footsteps and also get mentorship,” he opined.
Talking about giving equal opportunities to women, he claimed that the State of Tamil Nadu had always treated women as equals to men, which was inevitable according to him in entrepreneurship.
He also encouraged the young entrepreneurs to be focused and keep working hard.
Later on the day, a book authored by B. Krishnamurthy and K. Malarmathi on Women Entrepreneurship was released by District Collector K. Rajamani.
The event also saw the launching of TiE Angels in India, by Mahavir Sharma. The programme is about strengthening the local chapters of TiE.
